Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will manage all full-cycle accounting duties but to also take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will manage all full-cycle accounting duties but to also take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. This is a full-time position working out of our Miami, FL office.
Essential Tasks:
- Create and post journal entries and prepare necessary supporting documentation
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations, propose adjusting journal entries and submit them for Corporate Controller's review
- General ledger accounting and mapping of fixed assets
- Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)
- Serve as liaison between schools and accounting department
- Special projects, as necessary
Experience and Education:
- At least 2 years' experience in corporate accounting and/or in a public accounting firm required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and research skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in NetSuite, ProCare and/or bill.com is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Solid written and verbal communication, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and personnel concurrently
